Bringing along more than just one.

(Daraen's a Fire Emblem Awakening character, whom I have thrown into the world of FF7 for Au related shenanigans.)

Do I even have to say anything about why I ship them? It just happened, and I still don't know why. XD

Ah, man, I think you can already guess who I'm talking about, but Reeve and that Haunted Hotel Bellhop? That's my weirdest ship so far.

That, or Daraen (Fire Embelm Awakening) and Cloud. For them it's just the vibes. Also, white haired protagonist who's haunted by an ancient evil falling for the blond guy who's haunted by a silver haired new evil is just funny to me. XD

i don't actually know what fire emblem awakening is even so reeve bellhop it is!! 😂

This wound up being…well, pretty much exactly as silly as I expected.

"Now, Ollie, it's not nice to pull off other people's bandages. No, no, don't put them in your—and they're in her mouth." Benjamin sighed, as he attempted to tug the long strip of cloth out of her hands. "Well now they're all soaked in your baby slime. How am I supposed to put them back on?"

"Pfffbbt bah gah bah!" Ollie argued, flatly refusing to relinquish her interesting new toy.

"Why don't you just leave them off," Nero suggested, from where he was lying on the couch. "Who are you worried about seeing you, here?"

Benjamin opened is mouth to reply, but Reeve and Vincent came downstairs, at that moment.

"Oh, hey, Benjamin," Reeve said, looking surprised. "You're really handsome, without the bandages hiding your face."

"Thank you," Nero answered, at which everyone looked at him. "What? We're identical."

"You're right. You're both very handsome," Reeve chuckled.

Benjamin was already holding Oliie in front of his face, like a human shield, so he didn't see Reeve look over at him, again, as he and Vincent went out the front door.

It was nice of Mr. Tuesti to say he was handsome, but he knew how ugly the blue-black darkness cracks in his face were. He'd scared enough kids and teenagers and full-grown adults to be fully aware of his hideousness, before the age of ten.

The cherry on top of that self-esteem issue sundae was when he'd been deemed too scary looking for the job he'd applied to. The job as a bellhop at the Haunted Hotel. Where part of the gig was literally scaring people.

His friend helped him put together his mummy-bellhop costume, which conveniently featured a lot of facial bandages, and his application was finally approved by management (with the additional caveat that he also had to wear contacts to make his cat-slit pupils appear round).

He didn't resent the bandages, though. They were his armor. People laughed and smiled, when he had them on, rather than averting their eyes or staring in horror. When they screamed, it was because he dropped out of the ceiling and spooked them, on purpose. It felt good to have control over how people react to you, after a lifetime of evoking terror, through no fault of your own.

"I approve," Nero said, apropos of nothing, after Vincent and Mr. Tuesti had gone.

Benjamin looked up. "Huh?"

"Reeve. I approve. You may date him."

"I…you…he…WHAT??"

"BWAH??" Ollie squawked, mimicking Benjamin's exclamation.

"He obviously likes you. He's a little old but he's hot, and he's a good person. Hence, I approve."

"I don't—Mr. Tuesti doesn't like me like that, are you insane?"

"Legally, clinically, and literally, yes. But that doen't mean I'm blind and stupid. That man is into you. It's a fact."

"What's a fact," Sephiroth asked, as he entered the living room.

"Reeve likes Benny."

"Hm." Sephiroth considered this for a moment. "I approve. You may date him."

Benjamin was absolutely beside himself. "What are you—I didn't ask for approval! Or permission! And I'm not dating anyone!!"

At that very moment, the front door opened and Vincent re-entered. Behind him, Reeve popped his head in. "Hey, Benjamin, could I talk to you in private for a sec?"

"Um, s—sure, Mr. Tuesti, I'll be right there."

Ollie staunchly hung onto the bandage, and not wanting to risk a tanrum, Benjamin gave up and handed her over to Sephiroth. Ignoring Nero's meaningful look, he followed Reeve out the front door.

Nero turned to Sephiroth. "I'll bet you a hundred gil—"

"No wager necessary. It's a certainty."

"Guh guh guh guh," Ollie burbled, cheerfully saturating the bandage with more drool.

Several long minutes passed, then Benjamin returned, and sat down on the floor, where he'd been, as if nothing had happened. Three pairs of eyes stared at him, till he couldn't sit still anymore.

"I'm going to the engineering expo with him, on Saturday, and he's taking me to dinner afterward. Are you happy?"

"Ha! He did ask him out!!" Nero gloated. "You owe me a hundred gil, Sephi!"

Sephiroth rolled his eyes. "I didn't accept the wager, and I agreed with you. Congratulations on your date, Benjamin. I hope you have a lovely time."

"It's not a date!" Benjamin insisted.

"What kind of dorks go on a date at an engineering expo," Nero chortled. "You and Reeve are two peas in a nerd-pod, aren't you."

"But it's just an activity and a meal. That's not a date. Is it?"

"An activity and a meal is generally considered a date, Benjamin," said Vincent, who had reappeared at some point.

"Bahbuh mabaga," Ollie put in sagely, offering Benjamin back his drool-soaked bandage.

"Thanks. I'll just…wash that first."

"If you're too nervous, I'm willing to disguise myself as you and serve as your substitute."

"You giant jackass, who are you gonna fool?" Nero scoffed. "If anyone's going on Benny's date in disguise, I am."

"No one's going on my date in diguise! I mean—not date!!"

"What's that? Benny got a date?" Cid's voice called, from the stairwell.

Benjamin sighed, dropping his head despondently into his hands. "Yes. I…I'm going on a date."

Fullmetal Hylian Au: Lt. Colonel Chrom Lowell (art by NaijMizuho)

When it came to who would be replacing Maes Hughes for this Au, I couldn’t think of anyone better than Robin’s best friend, Chrom, from Awakening. Chrom is by all means, a good man, and certainly one of the best lords in Fire emblem. So naturally he’d fit the father type figure they Meas Hughes has. Unfortunately like Meas Hughes, Chrom won’t love to see the final battle. Now I’m sad.

Lt colonel Chrom Lowell is the head of the Ragna Ferox investigation department, he’s good friends with Colonel Robin Daraen, the flame alchemist, and takes on a father-like figure for Link and Aryll. The most honest man in the military, Chrom will do anything for his friends and family. Unfortunately that may come back to bite him in the story.

Ah oui. Le fameux S support de Nel et Rafal. Bah c'est just le "vous en faites pas en realité cest pas de l'inceste" que tous les jeux de fire emblem ont depuis que Daraen pouvait se marier avec Aversa. Enfin bon, rien de bien méchant et la au moins le seul problème qu'il pouvait y avoir c'est biologiquement. C'est pas comme Corrin qui peu se marier avec ceux qu'il prennaient pour ses frères et soeurs parce qu'ils ont été elevé ensemble. Et ça doit être des plaintes de gens nouveaux dans la série, parce que Fire emblem est célèbre pour ces cas de fausse inceste. S'il ne peuvent pas supporter un simple "oui mais ils ne sont pas de la même famille parce que il y a 2 sombron qui sont 2 personne differentes" ils ne vont pas surivivre Judgral.

Techniquement c'est pas de l'inceste, mais la simple possibilité que ce ship se réalise joue sur ce genre de fantasmes ?

Au final je pense que c'est un troll, comme Kaga qui avait lancé le "ptet que Sylvia et Claude ont des liens de parenté ohoho" dans un sbs si je me souviens bien (dispo sur SF !), mais comme tu le dis, si le Fandom de fire emblem se met à prendre tout au super sérieux...

Après quoi, on va accuser les fans de blagounettes sur Sigurd et le bbq de méchants méchants qui rient de la souffrance d'autrui et s'adonnent à l'immolation à leurs heures perdues ?

Enfin, je me faisais des runs de Fe4 où Lex! Larcei se marie avec son cousin de Dozel et où Patty peut finir avec son cousin Lester... Qui est le fils de la jumelle de sa mère ? Sans oublier Fe5, le meilleur fe de la série, qui clôt le couple Leif/Nanna par Mareeta qui lance le "fais lui ta déclaration, sinon tu vas rester sa petite sœur pour le vie !" donc bon, si engage fait peur pour des persos issus d'univers alternatifs, je n'ose même pas imaginer le bordel que Jugdral va créer !

Daughter of Robin & Lon'Qu from FE: Awakening. Usable for any verse as an extension of original canon.

Her World

This version of Iris came from the future but instead happened to show up after the events of Fire Emblem: Awakening. Coming from a ruined future, she was the second child born to the couple of Robin and Lon'Qu in the future. Her father Lon'Qu had retreated to Regna Ferox with his two children after attempts to reach his wife failed on multiple attempts, not powerful enough to overcome the beast, even while fighting alongside the West-Khan. 

 When Basilio fell in battle, Lon'Qu took to prioritizing the well being of Ly'Bai and her older brother Marc in the familiar territory of Regna Ferox. That is until a coup against Flavia broke out when she assumed temporary control of both East and West territories following Basilio's death. Despite turning down the position himself, Lon'Qu refused to let a ruler take the stage unless they could defeat him in one-on-one combat, distraught by his constant losses of loved ones but recognizing the need for strong leadership. 

Flavia was silent in her admission or support of Lon'Qu's actions, but that left her in power all the same. Seeing as no-one could defeat the lone fighter, a complete overturning of the current government left those two in particularly under hot water. His last act as their father was pushing Marc and Iris to flee and seek out refuge with the remnants of the Shepherds as there was no other place he could safely send them on short notice. 

 When they finally met up with the next generation of Shepherds, Yllise was far worse off than it had ever been. Marc had known, but Iris was always shielded from the fact that the Fell Dragon incarnated from their mother. And being too young to see front-lines battle up until that point, was ignorant of that fact until she made it back in time with Lucina and the others had simply hoped that their actions could prevent Grima’s awakening altogether. 

Her Story

Like the others, Iris made the jump into the past but was unable to Her leap through time was shoddy in its time frame, much like Laurent's. Though in her case, she wasn't sent back far enough. Instead of arriving in time to prepare and help stop Grima, young 14 year old Iris arrived shortly after its defeat, much to her shock. Granted, she was already the youngest amongst her peers at the time, but seeing everyone now years older than she had last witnessed them, and to hear that they had already come to defeat the Fell Dragon was at the cost of her own mother was devastating. 

The news didn't sit well with the girl who hardly had any memories of her mother to begin with. Having lived through her time, just to come short of being use to her mother, or even getting to meet her. There was a slew of feelings that she didn’t know how to process, but it would not be long before she would try to learn as much as she could about the Dragon's origin as it was her own lineage as well. 

As part of the global search issued by Chrom, Iris would travel far with Nah and her brother, assisting him in his recollection of his old memories on their way toward Mount Prism to seek council of Naga at Tiki’s recommendation. Once there, the Great Divine Dragon would issue them a quest that would help to bring back their mother independent of the fell dragon's influence. Their collective feelings for their lost mother would help act her tether to the physical realm as they sought the last remaining pieces of Grimleal Artifacts and a means to purify them and Robin’s twisted soul, divorced from the curse Forneus wrought upon the land. 

Nah’s Classes: Manakete, Witch, Sage

Marc’s Classes: Grandmaster, Dread Fighter, Dark Bishop

The three would first travel to Chon’sin in order to seek out a blessed Kinshi, with control over fire and the feathers that would shone even in the pitch black darkness. A giant bird was stated to live at the lake south of the Demon’s Ingle, and upon passing its trials, the three were gifted Phoenix Feathers, capable of countless enchantments and purification rituals. Now having obtained the purifying element, they’d need a physical embodiment of the beast. 

Their theory that it should be impossible given that Robin gave her all to ensure there was no way for the Fell Dragon to reincarnate, but Naga ensured her that there still lived a piece of proof that the demon’s power remained: The Demon Ring once used by the first rulers of the Valmese Empire in the days when it was still known as Valentia.

The siblings were urged to visit Valm, often reporting back to Chrom and Lon’Qu, who was busy now raising their current selves. Seeking out his research amongst their royal archives after earning the respect of Walhart. Through him, they learned of the Thabes Labyrinth, where they were shocked to find it still held Risen and at it’s heart, a sentient Deadlord by the name of Zodiark, the undead alchemist Forneus and holder of the Demon Ring. 

After having been killed by the by his creation, the Fell Dragon, he fought for his sanity through the Death Mask he placed over himself in his final moments. He shared his conscious with the generations of thanatophages that have lived and died in his unrotting corpse over the eons in order to continue his experiments and find a way to revive himself. One of his theories is that in order to recreate new life from the ashes of old, he would need to set himself ablaze and utilize the Phoenix Feather, which the three travelers happen to have on them. 

So close to both of their goals, Iris, Morgan and Nah wielding the Book of Naga clashed with the alchemist of legend, Demon Ring in tow utilizing unfamiliar magics and offensive alchemy. In the end, the trio would take the day, end Forneus’ efforts and would take the spoils back to so that they could perform the rite and end the delay on Robin’s reincarnation.

After a year's time from the onset of their journey, Chrom would hear the voice of Naga guide them to the field where their fight to save the world began. And with a strange sense of deja vu, he would reach to pull their friend up with the same warning he would have hoped that'd taken to hear by now. "There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know."

Present Day

Since the return of her mother, Iris has been off studying more about the Fell Dragon as well as the other experiments that their creator had been up to. She stopped to get proper tutelage in magics, focussing on Anima Magics before continuing her studies on the divine dragons, gods, ancient races, and sources of power, and sometimes following Issea, her mother's pupil, or dragging him around for her expeditions or going to see other worlds alongside him.
